Basically, the outfit is the same as her regular outfit except that she wears knee and armbands as well as a bright red helmet. In this scene, some bad guys are getting away, so she spins around and Ka-ZAM! she’s wearing pads and a helmet, and has a skateboard! She tosses down the board down, hops on it and rides down the criminals!

As you know, Judge Dredd is getting another crack at the big screen. Pete Travis is directing. Alex Garland wrote the script. Karl Urban is playing him. Jock is doing the concept art. He has a helmet that covers his whole face. It’s already better than the Stallone version.
(By the way, do you know how much it sucks to hear Karl Urban say “Yes, it’s true, I’m Judge Dredd!”, the table gasps — and then you hear so-and-so with a better ComicCon connection has already posted it? It really sucks.)
But who will be the villain of the piece? Bleeding Cool reported that it was Lena Headey, but since it originated on a Judge Dredd fan site (albeit one with a good ear on the ground), I wasn’t convinced. But it’s been double-confirmed by The Playlist, and filming has begun. So, it’s Headey.
Headey as Madeline Madrigal, in fact. Ma-Ma. This might be the first eyebrow raising news of the new Dredd. In the comics original script, Ma-Ma is a drug matriarch who is about 60 years old. She’s big (the script called for her to be overweight), tough, she’s weathered, she’s scarred. She knows her way around this violent world. She has to go head to head with Dredd, after all.
I adore Headey (she’s one of my top girl crushes), and I think she’s a budding and capable action heroine. She could play a world class drug dealer in any other film, but she’s definitely too young and pretty to be Ma-Ma. Maybe she’s going full Brando for this, and will be donning a fat suit and heavy prosthetic make-up. That would be awesome. Actresses rarely get the opportunity to do a gross physical transformation, and Headey would score some major cool points. Knowing her sense of humor and her fondness for horror films (thanks to Final Girl, who gets to hang out with her and get her to contribute to her site), I could see Headey going for that.
But that seems unlikely. Why cast a beauty if you’re not going to let her shine? You could find an older Ma-Ma much easier than make one up … and there’s probably a hungry older actress out there that needs the work.
Oh well. You can’t change Hollywood. I’ll just be glad I get to see Headey kick Urban’s ass. That’s worth a price of admission right there.

Como você sabe, Judge Dredd está começando uma outra aventura na tela grande. Pete Travis está dirigindo. Alex Garland escreveu o roteiro. Mas quem será o vilão da peça? segundo po site Bleeding Cool informou que foi Lena Headey, mas desde que se originou no site dos fãs do Juiz Dredd (Ainda que com um bom ouvido), eu não estava convencido. Mas ela foi duas vezes confirmado pela ALista,e as filmagens já começou. Então, é Headey.
Headey como Madeline Madrigal, na verdade. Ma Ma. Este pode ser o primeira notícia da nova Dredd. Nos quadrinhos o roteiro original, Ma-Ma é uma matriarca de drogas cerca de 60 anos. Ela é grande (o roteiro pedia para ela estar acima do peso), mas ela resistiu, e está cicatrizada. Ela sabe que sua maneira de contornar este mundo violento. Ela tem de cabeça contra Dredd, depois de tudo.Adoro Headey), e acho que ela é uma heroína capaz de ação.. Ela pode desempenhar um traficante de classe mundial em qualquer outro filme, mas ela é definitivamente muito jovem e bonita para ser Ma-Ma. Talvez estará vestindo um terno gordo e pesado de maquiagem prostética. Isso seria fantástico. Atrizes raramente têm a oportunidade de fazer uma transformação física bruta, e Headey seria legal marcar alguns pontos principais. Sabendo que seu senso de humor e seu gosto por filmes de terror (graças a FinalGirl,que começar a ser lançado ), eu podia ver Headey nisso.
Mas isso parece improvável. Por que lança uma bela atriz se você não vai deixá-la brilhar? Você poderia encontrar um a atriz velha para atura como Ma-Ma muito mais fácil do que fazer ..
Oh well. Você não pode mudar de Hollywood. Eu só vou ser feliz eu começo a ver Headey tomando um chute da bunda por sinal Urbano. Isso vale um preço do ingresso

Yves Marchand e Romain Meffre criaram uma série incrível de fotografias em Detroit, a partir de uma visão de fora em determinada área e edifícios que foram deixados em ruínas. A legenda em torno da fotografia afirma o "declínio dramático de uma grande cidade americana", como a base das fotos. Outra intenção da série é mostrar os resultados de uma América pós-industrial, olhando para o panorama geral de como lidar com infra-estrutura abandonada.

SPIDER MAN REBOT- FOTO DO UNIFORME DO HOMEN ARANHA
Well, it wouldn't be a day reporting on movies on the web without using the word "reboot," but here's a bit of rebootery that sure warrants a mention: the big reveal of The Social Network's Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man!
The pic above was sent to us by the studio reps handling the new ... yeah, we'll use the word ... reboot of the Spider-Man franchise being directed by (500) Days of Summer filmmaker Marc Webb, who will be taking over stewardship of Spidey's cinematic adventures from Sam Raimi.

WALKING DEAD- PARA LICENCIAR PRODUTOS É UM TERROR

Boy, did WE dodge a bullet! (Though considering the show we're talking about, we probably also dodged an ax and a chainsaw.) Back before The Walking Dead became a mega hit, producer Gale Anne Hurd was being pressured to consider product placements. Since she was able to prevent that from happening, we thought we'd show you what we all missed.
Speaking at the Consumer Electronics show in Las Vegas, Hurd revealed that placement firms were lobbying hard to get her to include their products onscreen during the zombie apocalypse, and that before the show was a success, it wasn't easy to say no.
"It's hard when you're a new show," she said. But she decided it was better to resist temptation and avoid anything that might pull us out of the drama.
Maybe she was able to resist. But not us!

From the cover of W Magazine comes this image of Rooney Mara doing her best Girl With a Dragon Tattoo. Though the image is credited to Jean-Baptiste Mondino, the accompanying article seems to suggest Fincher was rather hands-on:
“I think we need more blood,” Fincher said as he stared at Mara’s outstretched hands.
Must be that “God complex” they appoint him with a few lines down.
Elsewhere in the article, talk turns to Steve Zaillian’s screenplay adaptation. It seems he’s deviated from the source novel in some quite crucial ways:
…it departs rather dramatically from the book. Blomkvist is less promiscuous, Salander is more aggressive, and, most notably, the ending—the resolution of the drama—has been completely changed. This may be sacrilege to some, but Zaillian has improved on Larsson—the script’s ending is more interesting.
I have no idea what this more interesting ending is. Do you? Fill me in.

Guess which Oscar-winning female star has backed out of a role in Clint Eastwood's new movie—and may now possibly star in the Alien prequel?
According to Vulture, Charlize Theron has dropped out of Eastwood's upcoming biopic of J. Edgar Hoover, which might just leave her schedule open to star in Ridley Scott's highly anticipated prequel to his original 1979 film Alien. Actually, it seems that Theron's agents had said she would do the Hoover film before she actually agreed to it. Although that left her in the position of having to apologize to Dirty Harry, it also left a large space in her calendar—which 20th Century Fox is eager to fill.
Scott, for his part, is apparently determined to have Swedish actress Noomi Rapace (the Swedish-language The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Sherlock Holmes 2) play the female lead, Elizabeth Shaw, in the Alien prequel. However, there is another female character named Vickers, described as a "fortysomething, tough-but-sexy crewmember," which he wanted to give to Michelle Yeoh (Tomorrow Never Dies).
But with the budget for Alien said to be skyrocketing, Fox wants a better-known name in there. That's where Theron might come in. Fox is reportedly having the role of Vickers rewritten to make it bigger and more appealing to the actress, who will get the new script this week and decide whether she wants to do it soon after.
There's been a slew of Alien rumors in recent months, with a number of them debunked, and Vulture has published its fair share of them. So for now we'll treat this as a rumor, too. But do you think it would be cool to see Charlize Theron kick some butt in the Alien prequel?

CLIVE BAKER -ARTISTS TURN TO EVANGELICAL CHRISTIAN COMICS

Dan Lawlis is a comic book artist whose work was most prominent in the eighties and nineties. As well as working on superhero comic books such as X-Men, Cloak And Dagger, Shadowmasters, Barb Wire and Spider-Man, he also drew a number of Clive Barker comics, namely Nightbreed and Book Of The Damned.
It now looks like he’s moved to Book Of The Saved instead.
Orange Peel 3 is a Christian evangelical science fiction/fantasy parallel set on the planet GoddEarth overrun by many species and enslaved with a Godless dictatorship that has turned the world against itself. There are straw men and caricatures everywhere and the alien races help exacerbate that, most prominently in a Pro Life rally where the participants all have fanged teeth – and just before the protagonist is visited by an angelic aborted alien fetus.
Yes, there’s a fair bit of that kind of thing.
But artistically, it’s an interesting look for Lews, with a style seemingly affected by the likes of Neal Adams and Alan Davis via Joe Madueria, creating very pleasing superheroic alien figures, albeit a tad on the didactic side.

Mas artisticamente, é um olhar interessante para Lews, com um estilo aparentemente afetado pelos gostos de Neal Adams e Alan Davis via Joe Madueria, criando figuras muito agradável super-heróis alienígenas, embora um pouco didático.

British engineers are developing a new type of defence system that uses lasers to incapacitate pirates by dazzling them as they approach a ship.
The non-lethal weapon, which has been developed by defence company BAE Systems, is effective against moving targets more than a mile away.
The company has started developing the laser in response to the growing threat from pirates to commercial vessels, particularly off the coast of Somalia where there have been several high profile hijackings.
The device effectively hides the vessel carrying it in a bright green glare from the laser, forcing the pirates off course and leaving them unable to aim their weapons accurately.
"We are using the laser as a kind of dummy sun that we can hide the vessel behind," said Roy Clarke, BAE Systems Advanced Technology Centre.
