X-MEN THE FIRST CLASS- 2 NEW POSTERS ON WEB

2 stunning new international X-Men: First Class posters

 

Two international posters for X-Men: First Class have been released, and in them we get to see Charles Xavier (the budding Professor X) and Erik Lensherr (the nascent Magneto) reflect on the future ... literally.

       

(Take a look at the water at their feet.)

The posters are cool, but we're strongly reminded of a poster for Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace, where young Anakin cast a shadow of Darth Vader onto the wall of his Tattooine home. And then there's the poster for Smallville.

Even though these posters are "international," they seem targeted at the European market: Charles stands in front of a stately home, and Erik is framed by a concentration camp. They're also very spare. If they were Asian posters, they would have a lot more going on.

Still, we're officially counting the time until we get to see more of that origin story (as of today, three months and two days).

2 deslumbrante cartazes internacionais do  novo filme dos  X-Men: First Class

 

Dois pôsteres do X-Men: First Class foram liberados, e  vemos Charles Xavier (Professor X brotamento) e Erik Lensherr (Magneto nascente) refletindo sobre o futuro ... literalmente.

       

(Dê uma olhada na água em seus pés.)

Os cartazes são legais, mas estamos fortemente lembrado de um cartaz de Star Wars I: A AmeaçaFantasma,onde Anakin jovem lançou uma sombra de Darth Vader na parede de sua casa Tattooine. E depois há o cartaz para Smallville.

Mesmo que estes cartazes  "internacionais", eles parecem orientadas para o mercado europeu: Charles está na frente de uma casa senhorial, e Erik é emoldurada por um campo de concentração. Eles também são muito repostos . Se eles estivessem posters da Ásia,eles teriam muito mais acontecimento.

Ainda assim, estamos oficialmente a contagem do tempo até chegarmos a ver mais do que a história de origem (daqui a , três meses e dois dias).

The 15 Most Important Women in Tech History

 

The Ladies of ENIAC

Comprised of Kay McNulty, Marlyn Wescoff, Fran Bilas, Ruth Lichterman, Adele Goldstine (and Betty Snyder), these ladies were the first “computors” working on ENIAC at the University of Pennsylvania’s Moore School of Engineering. Bearing the job title of “computer” the ladies were responsible for making calculations for tables of firing and bombing trajectories, and to determine the correct sequence of steps to complete the calculations for each problem and to set up the ENIAC accordingly. (This, by the way, meant the women manuevered 3,000 switches and 80 tons of hardware in order to program ENIAC by hand). The need to perform the calculations with greater speed prompted ENIACs development, hence making these flesh-and-blood “computors” obsolete. Adele Goldstine and Betty Jennings were instrumental in programming ENIACs stored program, Goldstine was also responsible for writing ENIAC’s original technical manual. Through their contributions, we gained the first software application and the first programming classes. The ladies of ENIAC were inducted into the WITI Hall of Fame in 1997.

 
 

Jean E. Sammet

Another woman often (and erroneously) called the first to be awarded a Ph.D. in Computer Science (1968 , Stanford), Sammet also held a B.A. in Mathematics from Mount Holyoke College (1948) and an M.A. in Mathematics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (1949). Sammet certainly put her mathematics knowledge to use; she was responsible for developing the first computer language while working at IBM. Sammet’s program, FORMAC, was the first widely used computer language for the symbolic manipulation of mathematical formulas. Sammet worked at IBM for 27 years, and was a member of the subcommittee that created COBOL, as well as the President of the ACM from 1974-1976. She was also an ACM Fellow (1994) and yet another lady on our list to receive the Lovelace Award (1989).

 
 

Frances Allen

Allen, who earned a B.Sc. degree in mathematics in 1954 (New York State College for Teachers) and a M.Sc. in mathematics in 1957 (University of Michigan), achieved great progress in the areas of compliers, code optimization and parallelization. A Fellow of the IEEE, the ACM and the Computer History Museum, Allen did her seminal work at IBM – where she became the first IBM Fellow in 1989. Although she worked for IBM for 45 years, Allen also had a hand in intelligence work via programming languages and security codes for the NSA. Inducted into the WITI Hall of Fame in 1997, and winning the Augusta Ada Lovelace Award in 2002, Allen was also the first woman to win the prestigious Turing Award (aka the “Nobel Prize of computing”) in 2006.

 
 

Sophie Wilson

Wilson, a British computer scientist, is most often noted for designing the Acorn Microcomputer in the late 70’s. The Acorn Microcomputer, later called Acorn System 1, was the first of many systems sold by Acorn Computers. However, Wilson wasn’t content to stop there - In 1981, she revamped Acorn Atom’s BASIC programming language dialect into Acorn Proton. The Proton, another microcomputer, won Acorn an illustrious contract with the BBC. In 1983 Wilson contrived the instruction set for one of the very first RISC processors, the Acorn RISC Machine, which you know as ARM. Wilson also designed Acorn Replay, a video architecture for Acorn machines, which contained OS extensions for video access as well as the codecs themselves and optimized high frame rate video.

9 LIVES OF CATWOMAN POSSIBLE STORYLINES ON DARK KNIGHT RISES-ANNE HATHAWAY UMA GATA DE VARIAS FACETAS

The 9 Lives of Catwoman: Possible Storylines for Anne Hathaway in The Dark Knight Rises

Just in case anyone wasn’t positive that Anne Hathaway’s role as Selena Kyle in The Dark Knight Rises would lead to the inclusion of Catwoman, the actress has gone ahead and confirmed it. So really, what is Christopher Nolan going to do with a super-strong genius and a borderline S&M villain/love interest in the same movie? For clues, I’ve researched Catwoman’s oft-revised and ever-changing origin stories and arcs over the years in comic books. Read on for nine different Catwoman stories that Nolan could potentially pull from, and then guess whether Hathaway will play a burglar, a prostitute, an amnesiac flight attendant or some combination of the above.

1. A Cat Burglar

Heh, get it? In the early issues of Batman comics, Catwoman appeared only a mysterious jewel thief. She didn’t don the leather suit here, but this storyline still played up the iconic femme fatale element that will surely add another layer of psychological distress to poor Batman.

2. A Cat Burglar/Amnesiac Flight Attendant

62 issues into the series it is revealed that Catwoman was a flight attendant who turned to a life of crime after suffering a amnesia-inducing blow to the head in a plane crash. Memento-redux, anyone?

3. Wife of Batman, Mother to His Only Child

In the 1970’s, one storyline has Kyle marries Batman and gives birth to his child, Helena, who goes onto become another superhero known as The Huntress. Also, she never had amnesia and instead is a woman who decided to leave her abusive jewel thief husband. It should perhaps be noted that these storylines all took place on a parallel planet called “Earth 2.”

4. A Prostitute

In 1986, Frank Miller re-introduced Kyle as a tough, independently minded prostitute, who turns to burglary as she tries to protect a young street girl named Holly Robinson.

5. A Fake Prostitute

Apparently a lot of writers weren’t too thrilled with the prostitute thing, so they later revised the story so that Kyle was only pretending to be a prostitute in order to rob desperate guys.

6. An International Thief

In the 90’s Catwoman got her own series where she was recast as an international thief and bounty hunter living by her own moral code. She definitely aids Bane in at least one storyline here…but she also works as a reluctant government operative and adopts an orphan named Arizona. Your guess is as good as mine.

7. A Mafia Daughter

One storyline in Batman: Dark Victory drops hints that Kyle may be an illegitimate child of Gotham mafia boss Carmine Falcone. Nolan definitely likes to play up the organized crime element in the series, so maybe?

8. Potential Mayor of New York City

Later in the Catwoman series, Kyle becomes CEO of some shady Mafia-controlled company and trying to leverage this position into a bid for Mayor of New York City. Sounds topical!

9. The Female Batman, Gotham’s New Defender of Justice

Ah yes, in the DC spinoff series Elseworlds, Kyle sees her millionaire parents murdered walking home after a screening of Cat People (Yes please!), then becomes a crime fighting vigilante as a result. Her major enemy is a criminal psychopath named…Batman.

Heh  entendeu? Nas primeiras edições dos de quadrinhosBatman,Catwoman aparecia  apenas como uma misteriosa ladrona de jóias. Ela não vestiu a roupa de couro aqui, mas essa história ainda jogou a femme fatale como icone que certamente irá adicionar uma outra camada de sofrimento psíquicodo pobre Batman.

2. Um Gata bandida / Amnesia a bordo

62 questões na série é revelado que Catwoman foi uma aeromoça que virou-se para uma vida de crime após sofrer um golpe de indução amnésia na cabeça em um acidente de avião. Mementoredux, alguém?

3 . Mulher do Batman, mãe de seu filho apenas em uma  década

de 1970, um enredo tem casa Kyle Batman e dá à luz sua filha, Helena, que vai para se tornar outro super-herói conhecido como The Huntress. Além disso, ela nunca teve amnésia e em vez disso é uma mulher que decidiu deixar o ladrão de jóias marido abusivo. Convém talvez notar que estas histórias todas ocorreram em um planeta paralelo chamado "Terra 2".

4. Uma prostituta

7. A máfia da  filha um enredo em Batman: Dark Victory dicas que Kyle pode ser um filha ilegítima da máfia do chefe do crime  em Gotham Carmine Falcone. Nolan definitivamente gosta deste  elemento do crime organizado na série, talvez por isso?

Mais tarde na Mulher-Gato, série  Kyle se torna presidente de alguma empresa controlada pela máfia, obscuros e tentar aproveitar essa posição em um lance para o Mayor de New York City. Soa tópico!

9.  batma versão feminina                                                                                          Ah, sim, na sériespinoff ElseworldsDC,Kyle vê milionário assassinado seus pais voltando para casa depois de uma exibição de Cat People (Sim, por favor!), Então se torna um vigilante combate ao crime como resultado. Seu maior inimigo é um criminoso psicopata chamado ... Batman.

THE HOTTEST ALIENS IN MOVIES - SENSUALIDADE DE OUTRO UNIVERSO

I’ve seen articles on the subject of sexy aliens so we’re doing nothing new here.  However I think that the articles I’ve seen were close to right but not quite.  We’ve taken a combination of sexy other-world-like creatures to come up with this top ten (though not ranked) list.
Perhaps we have different taste than other publications but I’m close to admitting this list is more factual than opinion.

Anna is the “smartest” alien there is.  Why?  Because instead of having disgusting gross creatures take over the earth, send a hot chick and the earthlings will do whatever the hell you say.

Two words:  Tricia Helfer.  I mean you really can’t argue with that.
Serleena – Men in Black II
This is about the only time I will fully admit that Lara Flynn Boyle was hot.  I’m not sure what the appeal with her is but I can say that in Men in Black II she definitely had it going on.

Many might argue that she was a little butch but come on.  There’s just something super sexy about a girl who has the powers of Superman.  Also one that flies Lex Luther all the way to the North Pole not to mention the arm wrestling contest.

She may be green but she’s got one hell of a body.  Plus she was Captain Kirk’s booty call.  Can’t argue with that.

Insert T Pain jokes here.  Seriously though, is that not the hottest Vulcan you’ve ever seen?
Princess Aura in Flash Gordon
If there’s one thing to take out of a horrible 80s B movie it’s the sexy alien princess who appears in an article more than 30 years later about hot aliens in movies and TV.

Clearly Natasha Henstridge is number 1.  I haven’t ranked this list but she’s definitely number one.

Se há uma coisa para tirar de um filme B dos anos 80 horrível é a princesa alienígena sexy que aparece em um artigo mais de 30 anos mais tarde, sobre alienígenas quente no cinema e na TV.
