And now, the nominees…

The incomparable Mike Mignola scored a nomination for the "Best Comic Book Writer" award based on his heaping plate-load of solid work over the past year, including B.P.R.D: 1947, Hellboy In Mexico, Hellboy: The Wild Hunt, Witchfinder: In The Service of Angels and Hellboy: The Bride of Hell. Mr. Mignola's certainly been busy, and all of us here at Dark Horse are jazzed he's getting some recognition for his writing efforts. (Mignola's cover for Hellboy: The Bride of Hell recently won a Harvey award, in case you missed it.) Head over to Spike's site to vote for Mr. Mignola now, and hey, why not tell your friends to do the same?!

Dark Horse is proud to have two nominees in the "Best Comic Book Artist" category, as well! Both Jill Thompson's work on Beasts of Burden and Fábio Moon's work on B.P.R.D.: 1947 and Sugarshock should be counted at the tip-top of the cream of the crop when it comes to great comics art. It's nice to see that Spike agrees! Go vote for Ms. Thompson or Mr. Moon for "Best Comic Book Artist" now! Unfortunately, you can't vote twice from a single IP address (to my knowledge, at least.) So, I suggest logging in a vote for one of these exceptional artists and then hitting up a local wifi hotspot and voting for the other. Just a friendly suggestion, as I know the choice between B.P.R.D. and Beasts of Burden is enough to make you go bonkers!

Here at Dark Horse, we definitely pride ourselves on our horror comics. As the PR guy, I sent a bunch of great books over to Spike for Scream consideration and while I think everything I sent over was worthy of recognition (Hey, I'm biased!), it's great to see three exceptional talents like Mr. Mignola, Ms. Thompson and Mr. Moon who worked on such excellent and eerie titles nominated for this award! Congratulations Mike, Jill and Fábio!

Dois detetives da polícia de Nova York investigam uma série de assassinatos sangrentos. Eles estão com uma psíquica contratado pela equipe que "comunica" o departamento sobre a vítima, tendo uma visão de sua morte nas mãos de algum predador . Quando os detetives, Len e Phil, perguntar o que ela viu, ela tem uma visão dos cadáveres.
Mais tarde, Jack Russell almoçam em um restaurante chinês com sua namorada Roxanna e Fred amigos e Katey. No final da refeição, Jack abre o seu biscoito da sorte de encontrar uma mensagem solicitando uma reunião, assinado "Seu amigo".

Two New York police detectives investigate the latest in a series of bloody murders. They stand by as a psychic hired by the department 'communicates' with the victim, experiencing a vision of his death at the hands of some fanged predator. When the detectives, Len and Phil, ask her what she saw, she has a vision of them as corpses.
Later, Jack Russell enjoys lunch at a Chinese restaurant with his girlfriend Roxanna and friends Fred and Katey. At the meal's end, Jack opens his fortune cookie to find a message requesting a meeting, signed, "Your friend".

That night, Jack is picked up by a limousine in which rides the little man who led Jack on his recent journey of self-discovery. The man discusses the serial killings plaguing New York City and tells Jack he is to visit The Underworld, a hidden nightclub catering to supernatural customers. Jack, already familiar with the club, is dropped off there and enters. As he sits at the bar, some punk vampires begin to hassle him, and the altercation erupts into a brawl. The scuffle is halted by the Ghost Rider (Noble Kale), and Jack joins him at his booth to ask for assistance regarding the murders. Steven, leader of the vampire punks, calms him cohorts, assuring them their chance will come.
Kale, obligated to the rules of the nether-realm he now reigns over, tells Jack only that the killer is present in the club. He also warns Jack to be wary of those he becomes indebted to. Jack turns to leave, and Steven offers an apology to him before he exits the nightclub.

Qual é a última vez que você leu quadrinhos?

Eu estava lendo a coleção inteira "Werewolf By Night" da Marvel Comics, me traz muitas lembranças.

Como você imagina o seu melhor festa de Halloween?

Jogando com The Cramps, mas desde que eles eram ... Eu digo isso com Danzig!

Qual foi a reação das pessoas sobre como fazer o vídeo "Kiss Me Undead?

Foi incrível, estamos muito surpresos com a qualidade dos projectos. Pessoalmente fiquei chocado ao ver como a visão de todos os olhares como o meu de quadrinhos. The 69 Eyes são os maiores fãs e criativo!

Contando em música, em que inspira você se sentir melhor, ficção científica, histórias de terror, histórias em quadrinhos ou apenas uma parte da sua imaginação?

Penso que todos juntos. Estamos escrevendo o nosso próximo álbum e nós estamos passando por uma série destas inspirações dias. As primeiras canções que escrevi eram há 21 anos e era sobre vampiros e detalhes sórdidos, quero continuar com essa visão, é algo que eu conheço muito bem.

O que os atraiu para Estevan Oriol para fazer a capa do álbum?
É um dos meus artistas favoritos agora. Ele e sua SA Sudio estão fazendo fotografias, vídeos e arte, da qual sou fã. Era incrível como envolvido. Andy Warhol é um moderno, há alguns muito criativa e inspiradora como a arte do filme Machete, Robert Rodriguez.

Estevan Oriol começou sua carreira na indústria do entretenimento no final dos anos 1980 como um segurança do clube na mais popular de Los Angeles 'clubes de Hip Hop e os locais famosos de Hollywood. Foi lá que Estevan primeiro ligado com seus irmãos Soul Assassin de South Gate, Cypress Hill. Estevan Oriol began his career in the entertainment industry in the late 1980's as a club bouncer at Los Angeles' most popular Hip Hop clubs and infamous Hollywood hangouts. It was there that Estevan first linked up with his Soul Assassin brothers from South Gate, Cypress Hill. Eager to expand his knowledge of the business, Estevan secured a job as tour manager for the rap group, House of Pain, in 1992.

Estevan invoked his unique photography style to catalogue the outrageous experiences he had on tour and began taking pictures of his neighborhood homies and the low rider culture. He had a gift for capturing the raw essence of street life through his photography. Within a short time, he became one of the most sought after photographers of the Urban and Hip Hop community. His work has been featured in magazines world-wide including: COMPLEX, FHM, GQ, Flaunt, Details, Vibe, The Fader, and Rolling Stone.

In 1995, after collaborating on various projects with Mr. Cartoon, a world famous Los Angeles based artist, the two joined forces in 1995 to create Joker Brand Clothing. The Joker brand has been solid as a rock. While numerous other clothing franchises have fallen by the waste side over the years, Joker has grown into a mature brand, garnering world-wide recognition and praise in the market place.

A decade later, Mr. Cartoon and Estevan expanded their empire, using their unique talents to assist brands and companies in reaching the coveted Hispanic Urban market place through the establishment of SA Studios Agency, a multi-cultural multimedia design/art company. SA orchestrated a highly successful collaboration art show sponsored by Nike called Cultura, based on the line of shoes completed for Nike. SA's clients include Harley Davidson, Nike, Toyota, T-Mobile, and Rockstar Games.

In 2006, Estevan teamed up with clothing powerhouse, Upperplayground, noted leader in specialty artists' inspired t-shirt lines. Estevan's line expresses his photography on limited edition t-shirts. In its 5 season, the line and its following continues to grow at a tremendous rate.

Today, in addition to being CEO of Joker Brand Clothing and his full time career as a photographer, Estevan directs music videos for groups including Eminem, Cypress Hill, D12, Linkin Park, Blink 182, Paul Wall, P.O.D., and Xzibit. He devised shooting campaigns for Nike, Rockford Fosgate, and Cadillac. He has directed new media projects for My Cadillac stories, MTV, and Apple Computer.

Recently, Estevan Oriol entered the feature film industry as a director. Brian Grazer and his company, Imagine Entertainment, along with Universal Pictures, chose to partner with SA studios by requesting from Estevan a three picture deal in which he could direct three movies of his choice. The first one will be the life story of his partner, Mr. Cartoon, set for release in 2008.

In late 2007 and 2008, Estevan Oriol will release three separate publishing book projects that he has been working on for the past decade: Ink, a retrospective of his last ten years with Mister Cartoon, Adidas 1979, a collaboration with Adidas originals chronicling street ball through his lens in an 80 page custom book, and East of Havana, a book about Cuban hip-hop.

De repente, uma delas aparece dentro da cesta. Outra é lançada para o alto. Os cabelos voam o tempo todo, e os shortinhos curtos se revezam com calças folgadas, dependendo de quem vai entrar na quadra quando elas saírem. Divididas em quatro grupos de dançarinas, as cheerleaders do Mundial da Turquia não deixam os marmanjos nas arquibancadas piscarem nem quando a bola está parada. Em jogos de países de maioria muçulmana, como Turquia e Irã, a regra é cobrir mais o corpo. Sem esquecer as dezenas de coreografias, claro.

A cidade de Minsk na Bielorrúsia foi palco no domingo dia 5 de setembro do concurso Miss peito 20101 na sua primeira edição. A ideia do evento era premiar a bielorrussa que possui o mais belo par de seios do país. O público não faltou!

Alena Tereh (à esquerda na foto) e Yekaterina Nikandrova foram as vencedoras e levaram o título de peitos mais belos da Bielorrúsia.
