It is not a time for summer, nor a visit to the beach here in the USA, but showcasing the hyperrealistic work of Hilo Chen can at least take the East Coast to a warmer place. The subject matter of Chen's work is obviously provocative, and perhaps not for everybody, but the skill in the work is undeniable.

The 68 year-old Taiwan-born, New York-based Chen uses only oil paint on canvas, which would make seeing these pieces in person a must to get their full effect. Most of these paintings are from 2010, but Chen has been creating work in this vein for over 30 years.

Não é um tempo de verão, nem uma visita à praia aqui nos EUA, mas apresentando o trabalho hiper-realista de Hilo Chen pode pelo menos levar a Costa Leste para um lugar mais quente. O assunto do trabalho de Chen é, obviamente, provocativo, e talvez não para todos, mas a habilidade no trabalho é inegável.

Os 68 anos de idade, nascido em Taiwan, Chen nova-iorquino  utiliza apenas a pintura a óleo sobre tela, o que tornaria a ver estas peças em uma pessoa deve obter seu pleno efeito. A maioria destas pinturas são de 2010, mas Chen tem vindo a criar trabalhos há mais de 30 anos.
