No início deste ano, ouvimos que a 20th Century Fox adquiriu os direitos o personagem clássico de radio e quadrinhos The Shadow. Embora inicialmente se pensava que Sam Raimi poderia estar pensando em dirigir uma nova adaptação, o cineasta ao invés de escolher David Slade (30 Dias de Noite, Crepúsculo: Eclipse) para o projeto. Agora, as fontes da indústria afirmam que o roteiro de A Sombra está por ser re-escrito, mas a parte louca é que Quentin Tarantino agora figura como possível diretor e co-escritor da mais nova adaptação dos quadrinhos na tela . Um bingo?
È certamente uma idéia interessante para dizer o mínimo. O Tarantino tem algum tipo de obsessão escondida com The Shadow Vamos descobrir mais cedo ou mais tarde, na indústria cinematográfica, "ligado" a um projeto é como escrevê-la . Você pode estar pensando em fazê-lo, mas poderia facilmente apagá-lo de sua agenda e ninguém ficaria surpreso. Claro, talvez Tarantino gostou do script Siavash Farahani e tem algumas idéias para reforçá-lo e trazer a sua marca corajoso, o estilo violento com esse personagem. Uma adaptação do lenço escarlate vestindo herói alimentada pela mente de Tarantino seria definitivamente uma visão bastante forte. Mas o que você acha?
Earlier this year we heard that 20th Century Fox picked up the rights to the classic radio and comic book character The Shadow. While it was initially thought that Sam Raimi may be thinking about directing a new adaptation, the filmmaker instead chose to attach David Slade (30 Days of Night, Twilight: Eclipse) to the project. Now out of left field comes a report from Pajiba whose inside industry sources claim that the script for The Shadow is currently out for a re-write, but the crazy part is apparently Quentin Tarantino is now attached as director and co-writer of this newest adaptation of the pulp comic. Um, that's a bingo?
No bingo yet since this should all be taken with a grain of salt, but it's certainly an interesting idea to say the least. Does Tarantino have some sort of hidden obsession with The Shadow We'll find out sooner or later, but in the film industry, being "attached" to a project is like writing it down in your planner with a pencil. You may be thinking about doing it, but could just as easily erase it from your schedule and no one would be surprised. Of course, maybe Tarantino liked Siavash Farahani's script (Rewiewed here) and has some ideas to beef it up and bring his trademark gritty, violent style to this character. An adaptation of the crimson scarf wearing hero fueled by the mind of Tarantino would definitely be quite a sight. But what do you think?
